Oil leak on a 1990 lincoln towncar?

I have a 1990 Lincoln municipality car with a 5.0 engine. It has a major oil leak accompanied by smoke that looks like the cars on fire. I improvise its either the rear crankshaft seal or the oil...

A: There are three everyday areas for oil leaks on that engine from 1987-1990. Intake gasket leak at rear of engine, raise main seal, oil pan rusting out. I have seen several vehicles with that engine...


Unequivocally the oil pan gasket! My jeep did the same thing. New gasket and your good to go! Good Luck!

discover sure its coming from your engine. it might be coming from your transmission. The smoke comes from the fluid dripping on to the hot weary pipes. i would check out if the oil is a dark red...

the starter and battery are vehement, fuel pump has been ruled out... I did some research and another owner w/ the same problem resolved it by replacing the crankcase sensor. I did more scrutinize...

A: you beggary a owners manual the mirrors and the seat works that way you can change those features and others to not work that way so that stuff is not a unruly it is features your owners manual...

try these, sustain filter, air flow sensor, coilpack, plugs an wires, check you timing, if the motor turns over but wont fire, move at sure its getting fuel, if its not, could be the injectors are...
